Appomattox County Public Schools offers several opportunities for students who are experiencing difficulty with the traditional school setting.
Within our division the Appomattox Alternate Education Center (AAEC) offers an alternative setting for Middle School and High School aged students who need to recover credits toward graduation or who are seeking to pursue the Individual Student Alternative Educational Plan (ISAEP) program.
The Individual Student Alternative Educational Plan (ISAEP) program provides students with an opportunity to exit high school with a well-recognized credential and the knowledge and skills necessary for a successful transition to adulthood, and an option more desirable than dropping out of high school. Several out of county placements are used depending on a student’s age, academic, and social needs.
