        Aides - We are may be hiring several people (5 to 10) to act as general helpers at each school for the fall semester.
    These positions would be part-time (without benefits) and would be between 20 - 28 hours a week (could be a flexible schedule).
    Anticipated pay rate is $9.00 per hour.

    Middle School (6-8)
     School Nutrition/Cafe (10 months)
    8th Grade Football - Head Coach
    8th Grade Football - Assistant Coach
    Division Wide
    Substitute Nurses (RN or LPN only)
    Substitute Food Service
    Substitute Teachers
    Bus Drivers (Regular and Substitute)



    Appomattox County Schools seeks candidates for substitute teaching positions on an ongoing basis.
    The principal of each school shall be provided with a list of names of persons who have been approved by the School Board to serve as substitute teachers.  It will be the policy of the School Board to use certified teachers as substitute teachers as much as possible.

    1. Be a minimum of 18 years of age (21 years of age preferred);
    2. Possess good moral character;
    3. Have earned a high school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED);
    4. Attend an orientation to school policies and procedures conducted by the local school division;
    5. Be free of communicable tuberculosis; and
    6. Pass required background checks.
    The Appomattox County School Board shall seek to employ substitute teachers who exceed these requirements.
