The following information items were presented:
I. Mr. Jason L. Wells was appointed as the Appomattox County School Board Chair and Mr. Bobby K. Waddell was appointed as the Appomattox County School Board Vice-Chair for 2025.
II. The following appointments were made for 2025:
Carrington W. Pritchard – Clerk of the Board
Kathy N. Inge – Deputy Clerk of the Board
Cheryl J. Servis – Designee to Attend School Board Meetings in the Absence of the Superintendent
Jason S. Tibbs – Purchasing Agent
Jason S. Tibbs – Records Officer
Gregory A. Smith – Board representative to the Central Virginia Governor’s School
Bobby Waddell – Board representative to the LAUREL Regional Program
Wyatt Torrence – Board representative to the XLR8 STEM Academy
Roger Stough – Board representative to the Appomattox County Educational Foundation Scholarship Committee
II. School Board members approved the 2025 meeting calendar.
III. Dr. Tibbs provided a Transportation update, including a Pupil Transportation Fleet Review, and presented a Finance and HR report including the following items:

Intent to Return - 2025-2026 School Year
ACHS Projects
Bus Driver Process
Activity Buses
IV. School Board members discussed discipline within the schools.
V. The School Board approved the revised ACPS Division Literacy Plan and the Mileage Rate of $0.70.
VI. The annual School Board Development Training and a Public Hearing on the Oakville Property Deed is scheduled for Monday, February 10, 2025 and the next Regular Monthly Business Meeting is Thursday, February 20, 2025.
