The School Board recognized the passing of retired Appomattox County High School Volleyball Coach Mr. Mark Edward Drinkard and extended condolences to his family. A memorial contribution will be made to the Appomattox County Education Foundation in his honor.

The School Board discussed scheduling a public workshop on the Appomattox Middle School Macro-Level Study for September 3, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
Board members discussed Policy JFCD – Weapons in School and agreed to postpone adoption pending additional research and review.
