    MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of Appomattox County Public Schools is to ensure all students, upon graduation from ACPS, will have learned the skills to become productive and contributing citizens at the local, state, national, and/or global level and that all students learn in a safe, nurturing environment that engages school personnel, students, parents, and community members as collaborative partners.

Appomattox County Public Schools does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability in admission to its programs, services, or activities, in access to them, in treatment of individuals, or in any aspect of their operations. Dr. Jason Tibbs, Director of Human Resources, is designated as the responsible person (Compliance Officer) regarding assurances of nondiscrimination. Any complaint alleging discrimination based on a disability shall be directed to Dr. Cheryl Servis, Director of Curriculum, Instruction, & CTE (Title IX Coordinator), or Mrs. Mary Sherry, Director of Student Services (Section 504 Coordinator). All may be reached at the following address: P.O. Box 548, 316 Court Street, Appomattox, VA 24522 (434-352-8251) or at compliance@acpsweb.com. Complaints of discrimination may also be made to the Alternate Compliance Officer at compliance2@acpsweb.com.
