Hats off to BOTH the boys and girls teams for winning fourth place at the Greater Danville Metro XC Championships in Danville. Props go to sophomore Lucas Hunter (he
dropped his 5K time to 18:22), freshman Sam Detwiler (who has a new PR of 20:35), and freshman Raegan Wells, who set a new 5K PR with 24:03. Wells, Hunter and sophomore Shylynn Randolph all earned medals for finishing in the top 15 Thursday out of 142 boys and 89 girls. Wells beat every single freshman in the girls' race! Junior David Owen matched his PR of 21:33 on Thursday and senior Matthew Thomas ran his best time this season with 23:14. Seniors Julie Goodman and Bella Perry both ran season bests finishing in 26:19 and 26:54 respectively. The team has just a few days to rest up for the Dogwood District Championship on Tuesday Oct. 21. Please wish them luck!
