This is the last week of school for our ACPS students. Just a quick reminder, in case you didn't receive the call earlier this week, that we do have some calendar changes Thursday and Friday, May 21 and May 22.

Thursday is an early dismissal day (dismissal is at 12pm)
Friday is also an early dismissal day (dismissal is at 12pm)
Friday is also our last day of school for students

ACPS will dismiss at noon on Friday, April 3.
Spring break is Monday, April 6 - Friday, April 10th.
School resumes on Monday, April 13.

This Thursday's School Board Meeting and Public Hearing on FY27 School Budget (02-19-2026) will take place at the Appomattox County High School cafeteria. Dinner, provided by FFA for School Board members, will be served at 4:20 p.m., and the meeting will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Appomattox County Public Schools will be operating on a two-hour delay tomorrow, December 2nd, due to the forecast of winter weather overnight and a moderate winter weather advisory for Appomattox through noon tomorrow. We will continue to evaluate road conditions across the county. If changes are needed to the school day schedule, another message will be sent out in the morning.

Today we kicked off the 2025–2026 school year with energy, excitement, and a renewed commitment to Every Raider, Every Day!

Our teachers returned this morning for their first official day, and we were thrilled to welcome them back with an inspiring convocation. Special thanks to nationally recognized educator and author Jonathan Alsheimer for leading a dynamic engagement session focused on building strong relationships, classroom culture, and student success. His message reminded us all of the power of passion, purpose, and presence in the classroom.

Here’s to a year filled with meaningful connections, relentless support, and extraordinary learning experiences for every student. We are Raider Ready!
