The 2025-2026 school year is underway. ACHS staff are busy conducting class meetings with students setting the foundation and expectations for a great school year.
Appomattox Primary welcomes our newest Raiders (Kindergarten) today between 8:30 and 3:30. Division wide open house for all grades is being held today between 11:00 and 6:00.
Come out today to the Appomattox Walmart to Pack the Bus from 10:00 to 4:00 with school supplies for our students.

Our teachers returned this morning for their first official day, and we were thrilled to welcome them back with an inspiring convocation. Special thanks to nationally recognized educator and author Jonathan Alsheimer for leading a dynamic engagement session focused on building strong relationships, classroom culture, and student success. His message reminded us all of the power of passion, purpose, and presence in the classroom.
Here’s to a year filled with meaningful connections, relentless support, and extraordinary learning experiences for every student. We are Raider Ready!

For the safety of our students, teachers, and staff, we will remain closed tomorrow, Friday, February 21st, due to road conditions. This is an Employee Code 2, reporting at 10:00 am, and a teacher work day from home. Teachers may enter the school buildings between 11:00 am and 4:00 pm if they can travel safely.
I'm pleased to report that our closures have not slowed the progress our IT team is making with outside cybersecurity experts to remediate our operations after the incident earlier this week.
